The middle of the day isn't widely accepted as prime photographic time. However, beggars can't be choosers so I had to make the best of the opportunity to stop at Sandsend.

I don´t care too much about what´s widely appreciated ;) I shoot whenever I have the opportunity and sometimes you´ll get unique pictures out of that. I like this bright view, great compo and a lot of details to wander around with the eyes. Good one.

Appears the sun was low enough for some nice shadows, and you managed to get the light from behind. Not sure it was such a bad time after all. Wonderful tones, and dof. Nicely done.

Nice shot, sky and reflection. I always like B&W and this is a good example of what can be tone with tones.

Brilliant composition. Why did u decide on B&W

@MK: In the bright sunlight everything was a bit saturated and so the colour version was a bit 'in your face'. In this case I just felt that B W allows you to concentrate on the tones and details.
Beautiful landscape, nice bw!
